what i offer
I use a therapy called Focusing Oriented Therapy that helps you connect to the wisdom of the body, the ‘felt sense’, with compassionate curiosity. You will learn a new way of relating to yourself that is profoundly rewarding, healing and transformative. This approach helps us to pause, slow down and listen to ourselves in new and sometimes surprising ways.
By focusing on your internal resources and present moment experience you discover what is truly needed. Focusing deepens self understanding, empowering you to find your own steps towards lasting change.
How i work
As an integrative therapist, I draw on a number of evidence based approaches to focus on what is meaningful to you. As well as having advanced training in Focusing Oriented Therapy (a process of change that draws on your whole experience - thoughts, feelings, sensations, the felt sense), I use Emotion Focused Therapy (an approach that helps to make sense of our emotions).
My work is grounded in attachment and trauma-informed principles, and collaborative to find the pace that’s right for you.
